if you would like your child to join us, or help us as an adult volunteer, here is all the information!

You Child Joining North Richmond

If you would like your child to join North Richmond, please click here to send us your details to join our waiting list

We’ll get back to you when we have a space for your child – often we will have a space available soon but we can get a waiting list if there isn’t places available – so it is worth letting us know your child’s details as soon as possible, you can add them to our waiting list at any age!

Age ranges to start are 6-8 for Beavers, 8-10.5 for Cubs and 10.5 to 14 for Scouts - and children are able to start just before they reach those ages.

Your child can come down to try out Scouting for a few weeks, before there is any commitment to fully joining.

Once happy to join, you'll need to pay our annual subscription fee and buy the uniform for your child. We do have some free second-hand uniforms for those that need these. There is more informaion on uniform here

For more information and to ask any questions you can email us on info@northrichmondscouts.org.uk

Join us as an Adult Volunteer

Whatever your background, identity or ability, there’s a volunteer spot with your name on it

All adults running Scouting in a group are volunteers, and volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.

Scouts can make you feel good in other ways too. We’ll guide you to an opportunity where you’ll:

  • Make friends and meet people
  • Try new things and challenge yourself v
  • Get outdoors and get stuck in
  • Positively impact your community
  • Create vital opportunities for young people
  • Make memories that'll last a lifetime

There are a number of ways you can help us and volunteer. Being Part of a section team to help young people will be fun and rewarding, but we also need help in the background running the group, looking after our equiptment and with a variety of roles from treasuer, to fundraiser to maintanence person.

And if you can only occasionally help, that’s fantastic too. Whether you’d like to be an activity planner, tea-maker, craft creator or help with an fundraising event each year - we appreciate any time you can spare.

Please contact us on info@northrichmondscouts.org.uk if you can help, and we can have a chat with you about what you are able to help us with.
