Cubs is the second section in the Scouting family, after Beavers and before Scouts, and Cubs will usually be 8 to 10½ years old.
Our Cub Pack meets on a Tuesday evening, from 6.30pm to 8pm. In Cubs, the children’s leaders are named after characters in the Jungle Book, and the leader of the pack is Akela – who is our Cub Scout Leader Julie.
The Cubs Scout programme is about excitement, adventure, learning and making progress, keeping the promise and, most importantly, having fun!
The programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; whilst allowing them to be creative and get involved in their local communities. Cubs are introduced to exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and other nights away.
Our Pack is a friendly place for your child to join, with a lot of fun and activities!
If you would like your child to join Cubs, and they are aged between 8 and 10½ years old, you can email us on cubs@northrichmondscouts.org.uk to ask any questions and we’ll let you know all the details.
Or if you would like your child to join North Richmond you can fill a form in to join our waiting list – please click here to send us your details (we will get back to you as soon as we have a space)
Quite often new children can start straight away, but occasionally there may be a short delay until some older children move up to Scouts. (If you can’t wait we can also point you in the direction of other local groups!)
You can email the Cub leaders on cubs@northrichmondscouts.org.uk
